Nova Scotia's Kestrels will be making two stops in New York. The trio are touring in support of their album A Ghost History. They will make their first stop on the LES on Sunday, March 10 at Cake Shop and doors are at 8PM. The following night, Monday, March 11, they'll be in Brooklyn at Public Assembly. Doors are at 8PM in the Back Room and it'll cost you $8.
The trio is touring in support of their latest full-length, A Ghost History, out now via Sonic Unyon Records. The album is packed with catchy indie hooks and early 90’s effect-pedal shoegaze. Part of the album was recorded in the Manhattan apt of Tim Wheeler of Ireland’s seminal 90’s alt-rock outfit ASH, who also lends a guitar solo to the song “Dumb Angel” on the album.
